Hello! I’m Jhanak Devda, a first-year Bachelor of Engineering (B.E.) student at DY Patil Institute of Technology. I’ve embarked on this exciting journey in the field of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Data Science, and I couldn’t be more thrilled about where it’s taking me. My Path to Engineering: A Passion for Technology and Robotics

From a young age, I’ve been deeply fascinated by technology. I always wondered how machines work, how data gets processed, and how artificial intelligence is shaping the world. As I grew older, I realized that Artificial Intelligence and Data Science are the future, driving advancements in almost every field — from healthcare to transportation, and everything in between.

This curiosity led me to choose Artificial Intelligence and Data Science as my branch in engineering. The idea of creating intelligent systems and analyzing massive amounts of data to solve real-world problems excites me every day. As I learn more, I’m continually amazed by the potential of AI and how it can shape our lives in the years to come.

Experience at TechnoXian: A Milestone in My Robotics Journey

One of the most unforgettable experiences in my journey so far was participating in the World Robo Championship at TechnoXian, held in Noida. Being part of this prestigious event was an incredible opportunity. Competing against brilliant minds from across the globe, we pushed our limits to build robots that were not only functional but innovative and efficient.

TechnoXian wasn’t just about showcasing robotics skills. It was about learning, sharing ideas, and interacting with people who share the same passion for robotics and technology. It was a humbling experience, one that deepened my understanding of the real-world applications of robotics and made me even more determined to excel in this field.

Why I Chose Artificial Intelligence and Data Science?

Artificial Intelligence and Data Science are two of the most transformative fields today. AI is changing the way we live and work, from self-driving cars to intelligent assistants and predictive analytics. Data Science, on the other hand, is all about making sense of massive datasets to extract meaningful insights that drive decision-making.

By choosing this branch, I hope to be at the forefront of these technological advancements. As we move into a world where data is everything, I believe that mastering the art of interpreting and analyzing that data will be crucial to creating smarter, more efficient systems.

Hackathons: Fueling My Passion for Innovation

Another aspect of my college life that excites me is participating in hackathons. These events are like playgrounds for tech enthusiasts like me. Whether it’s building a tech solution for a real-world problem or coming up with innovative ideas in just a few hours, hackathons offer a unique chance to learn, experiment, and collaborate with brilliant minds.

I believe hackathons provide a platform to challenge my creativity and technical skills. They push me to think outside the box, develop prototypes, and work under pressure — valuable skills that are essential for my future career in AI and Data Science.

My Interests Beyond Technology

While I am passionate about technology, I also have a strong interest in sports. Whether it’s playing or just watching a match, sports have always been a part of my life. They teach me discipline, teamwork, and how to stay focused under pressure — skills that complement my technical pursuits.

I also enjoy exploring other hobbies and learning about different fields, which helps me stay balanced and open to new experiences. The more I learn, the more I realize how interconnected everything is, and how knowledge from different areas can spark innovation in unexpected ways.
